HB827. Electronic Reading of Court Proceedings; Circuit and Distric Court Clerks Have System in Courtroom.

This bill adds §§ 8.01-420.3:1 and 16.1-69.35:3 to the Code of Virginia. This bill authorizes the clerks of court in district and circuit courts to have an electronic recording system in the courtrooms and requires the clerks to continuously record the entire proceeding. The clerk of court will also provide a copy of the proceedings upon receipt of the $50 fee.
